Direct ABA Therapy

Direct ABA therapy is a hands-on approach where a trained therapist, like a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), works closely with a client one-on-one. The goal is to help the client build important skills, improve communication, become more independent, and manage challenging behaviors in a supportive and personalized way.

1:1 Support

A trained Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or behavior therapist works one-on-one with the client to apply ABA strategies in a hands-on way. This personalized support ensures the therapist can focus on the client’s unique needs, offering guidance and positive reinforcement in real-time. Following a plan created by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the RBT helps build important skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

Behavioral Assessments

Before and during ABA services, a BCBA carefully assesses the client’s strengths, areas for growth, and potential triggers for challenging behaviors. They use a variety of tools to gain a complete understanding of the client’s needs. These assessments are key to developing personalized goals and creating effective strategies to support meaningful progress.

Skill-Building

ABA services are all about helping individuals build important life skills that boost their independence and overall quality of life. These skills can include things like communicating effectively, handling daily tasks such as dressing or preparing meals, interacting socially, and learning ways to cope with challenges. The RBT and BCBA team up to make this process manageable by breaking down big skills into small, easy-to-learn steps. Along the way, they use positive reinforcement to celebrate progress and keep motivation high. It's all about setting the client up for success in a way that feels encouraging and doable!.

Have you seen how breaking down tasks can make a difference in learning something new? It’s such a satisfying process to watch those little steps turn into big wins!
